A shot of Head Coach Matt Viator on the sidelines before the start of the second half.

We get the ball first. Below, Champlain Babin returns the second half kickoff.

Bernardo Henry runs the end around on the first play but they stop it for a loss of 4 yards.

Derrick Fourroux gets 21 yards on a 3rd and 14 play.

But three more plays and we are forced to punt. About this time, for some reason, I remember feeling like we came out of the dressing room a little flat. For some reason on the sideline, it seems that UNH has more intensity to start the second half than we do. Can't explain it but that is what it felt like to me. After two big runs to start their drive, UNH works the ball down the field. On first and goal from our 1, they get this apparent TD but it gets brought back for an illegal substitution penalty.

On first and goal from the 5, Geremy Pilate and a couple of Cowboys tackle the UNH Rb for a two yard loss,

After another 2 yard loss on second down, they have 3rd and goal on the 9 yard line. On the this play the Qb makes a great throw and the big TE Soctt Sicko makes an even better catch and manages to get a foot down in bounds. We had good coverage on the play but there was not much a shorter DB could do.

After the PAT, the score is now 13-28.

I made a comment on the sideline that we needed to answer that score with this possession. After the kickoff, Chris Royal gets 8 yards after catching a pass.

Todd Pendland gets 7 yards and first down on this run.

Immanuel Friddle gets 6 yards on a catch.

After faking a field goal and getting a first down, we get 7 yard pass to Todd and a 6 yard catch by Chris Royal for a 1st and 10 on the UNH 44. Immanuel Friddle gets 9 yards on a catch of a ball that I thought was too far away for him to catch.

After a 4 yard Pendland run, a 7 yard Wes Mangan catch, and another 4 yard Pendland run, we have the ball 1st and 10 on the UNH 20. Then Derrick throws a swing pass to Champlain Babin, who goes 12 yards down to the UNH 8 yard line.

We have it in great position with 1st and goal on the 8 yard line. We score and the score would be 20-28 with a lot of time left. But it was not to be. On first down there was a fumbled pitch and a loss of 7 yards. On 2nd and goal, Derrick throws a pass that was batted up at the line, intercepted, and run back 79 yards for a TD. Instead of the score being 20-28, the score is now 13-35 and it was like a pin had pricked the air out of balloon and everybody was deflated.

After a 1 yard Pendland run and a stupid 5 yard delay of game penalty after the quarter had just changed, Derrick runs for his life and then throws an incomplete pass.

After another incomplete pass, Beau Lasseigne has to punt the ball away standing inside our 5 yard line.
