When we arrived at the UNC campus, we found parking near the Dean Smith Center. We then had to walk about a mile to the stadium, most of it uphill. The first building we came to was the athletic ticket office. Below, a shot of it.

The tailgating at UNC is all scattered and not real organized. It looked like most people just tailgate where they park or where ever they can. We did see on RV tailgating area across the street from the Dean Center. We decided to go visit and ask about the big quiet generators that were supply for that RV parking lot.

We stopped and talked to this guy who gave us directions to the stadium and to the Bell Tower.
They were in the process of grilling some burgers.
On the walk to the stadium, this area of tents was the only other area that looked like any organized tailgating.
After sitting and resting awhile, we made our way to the Bell Tower area where we told there would be a lot of activities going on.
We walked up this sidewalk to where we heard the UNC Band playing. This sidewalk leads down to the Bell Tower area and to the stadium gate where the players enter. The fans line this sidewalk and greet the players as they walk to the stadium.
The UNC Band was playing for fans in front of the Bookstore (?)/Souvenir Store where I bought a UNC hat for my hat wall.
I then found my way into the stadium and down onto the field to take a look. I stopped and talked to Quitman Moon and Steven Whitehead.
