Champlain Babin returns the opening kickoff to our 26 yard line.
The offensive line comes off the snap of the ball on the first play from scrimmage. The play was an end around by Wr Benardo Henry that was good for 11 yards and a first down.
After the initial first down, we went 3 and out and had to punt. UCA begins driving the ball. Below, Darrell Jenkins tries to make a tackle on UCA's Brent Grimes, who is a load.
They eventually punt and ,after a bad bounce for us, down the ball on our 1 yard line. Below, the Pokes huddle up in the endzone before the first play.

Champlain Babin returns this kickoff to our 25.
The first play was a 6 yard pass to Wr Immanuel Friddle. Immanuel injured an ankle on the play, ended up having to ice it down, and didn't play the rest of the game.
Wr John Leday catches a pass good for 11 yards and a first down. He had to catch it twice but he caught it.
Chad Davis looks for running room after catching a pass and gets a couple of yards.

Three plays into the second quarter and on 1st and 10 from the UCA 40, Derrick launches a long pass to an open John Leday. John is intefered with on the play and we get 15 yards down to the UCA 25.
On the next play Derrick takes off on a run for an apparent TD. But we get called for holding downfield and end up with just 1st and 4 on the 19 yard line.
After 4 Todd Pendland runs, we have it 2nd and 6 on the UCA 8 yard line. Derrick takes it in from there for the TD.
The line blocks as Josh Lewis adds the PAT and the score is now 7-3.
The students sway and clap to "Jolie Blonde".
And the cowbells are ringing in the stands.
On first down on UCA's next possession, Brandon Zanders (at least that is what the official play by play says even though the number looks more like 93 than 92) chases down Grimes for a 3 yard loss.
After two incomplete passes, they are punting from their 35 yard line. The punter mishandles the snap, and Javaris Murray and Chad Davis are all over him for the tackle. We get the ball on their 16 yard line.
