Jerry and Jackie Stephens had setup their Bounder in the parking lot north of the UCA baseball field and had invited everybody online to come by. So they became tailgate central for most of the McNeese fans that went to the game. An early shot of the Bounder before most of the McNeese fans began arriving.

A few of us went over to Bruce St., where the UCA tailgating was, to try to find the UCAFANS.com guys. We never did find them. A couple of shots looking up and down the street.
We didn't find the UCAFANS.com crew, but we did find Clay Rougeau. And, if you are an old McNeese fan, you recognize that name as he played for McNeese from 1979-1983 and was on the 79 & 80 Independence Bowl teams. He lives and works in Conway now. Clay and his wife fed us some good red beans and rice.
We drug Clay back with us to the McNeese tailgate spot so he could reminisce with the older McNeese fans there.
It was getting close to 3PM so I headed for the stadium to take some pre-game pictures. Here are a couple of shots of Estes Stadium.
