Tulane Game Game Pictures, Page 3

The two teams exchange punts and we get the ball back. Below, Derrick gets four tough yards on first down.

After a couple of good pass plays and some Pendland runs, we have the ball 3rd and 1 on the Tulane 11 yard line. Below, Derrick gets 7 yards for a first down on the Tulane 4 yard line.

On the next play, Pendland got one yard up the middle to the 3 yard line. OL Jonathan Landry was blocking for Pendland when one of the tackles dove at Pendland from behind and landed on the back of Landry's heel and leg as he was pushing off on his block. He was hurting and I knew it was bad when they sent one of the assistant trainers to the side line to get the splint bag.

After a loss on second down, we have it 3rd and goal from the 7 yard line. Derrick Fourroux then hits Richard Conner in the back of the endzone for a TD. This made the score 23-28.

We decide to go for 2 points to try to get within 3 at 25-28. Below, Wes Mangan catches a pass for the 2 point conversion.

The Cheerleaders celebrate by doing pushups.

The lead didn't stay at three points very long. On the second play of Tulane's next possession, Anderson took it 63 yards up the middle for a TD making the score 25-35.

After another good kickoff return and another holding penalty, we started on our 22 yardline. Below, Derrick throws a pass and we are moving the ball again.

Right after we change sides for the quarter, we run a reverse for a first down but fumble the ball at the end and turn it over. It doesn't take Tulane to score. A few running plays and then this 36 pass play to Williams gets it down to our 2 yardline. They ran it in on the next play to extend the lead to 25-42.

Javaris Murray returns the following kickoff to our 42. This time there were offsetting penalties so we got to keep it on the 42.

On the very first play, Derrick Fourroux throws a deep pass to Immanuel Friddle. I thought it was overthrown but Immanuel was able to stick out one paw and make a great one handed grab to get the ball down to the Tulane 15. Below is a slightly blurry picture of Friddle bring the ball in with one hand.

On the very next play, Todd Penland goes up the middle but has the ball stripped at the 1 yard line. But Immanuel Friddle jumps on the ball in the endzone for the TD. With the PAT this made the score32-42.

The Cheerleaders run the flags in front of the McNeese sideline.

On 3rd and 10 on Tulane's following possession, they tried a long pass. Seth Thomas intercepts the pass and returns it 39 yards to the Tulane 32.

The celebration after the interception.

Todd follows his blocking a "22" play following the turnover.

That made it 3rd and 1 at the Tulane 23. On the next play Derrick Fourroux goes 6 yards to the Tulane 17 for a first down but fumbles the ball as he hits the ground. It was ruled a fumble and the play was reviewed and you know how that went for us.

With 7 minutes left in the game, we needed a stop. Below, a group of Cowboys make a tackle.

They hold onto the ball for five minutes before they have to punt. The punt is downed on our 5 yardline. We get a couple of first downs but the clock runs out on us and the final score is 32-42.

Matt Viator and Toldeo Coach Bob Toledo shake hands at midfield after the game.

The players on both teams shake hands.

The players, coaches, etc. kneel at midfield for a post game prayer. The Tulane team didn't join in.

A shot of some Miguel Gauthreaux fans in the stands after the game.

The players go to the stands to visit with some of the fans.
