Malcolm Bronson tackles Tulane's Williams on a play that was called back by an illegal formation penalty.
Darrel Jenkins tackles Williams after Williams gets a first down on a 16 yard pass play.
After a pass interference call on a 3rd and 8 play give Tulane a first down, Tulane has it 1st and goal on the McNeese 10 yard line. Anderson goes up the middle to score a TD and make the score after the PAT, 10-14.
We drop the ball on the kickoff and start deep in our own territory. We finally have to punt. A shot right before the ball is snapped for the punt.
Seth Thomas and a couple of other Cowboys make the tackle on Tulane's Anderson. On the next play, Williams catches a 34 yard TD pass on a play that was reviewed to see if he had control of the ball before going out of bounds. The score is now 10-21.
Champlain Babin catches the ball on the following kickoff. He makes a good return only to have it called back because of another holding call and we start on our own 11 yard line.
Derrick Fourroux goes 10 yards on a 2nd and 8 play for a first down.
After a delay of game penalty and a couple of plays, we have the ball 3rd and 13 on our 35 yard line. Derrick then throws a 31 yard completion to John Leday, who makes a great leaping reception.
After a couple of first downs and a short run, we have the ball 2nd and 9 on the Tulane 23. Derrick fights for 6 yards on this run.
On the next play, John Leday catches this ball for 9 yards on an out route for a first down on the Tulane 8 yard line.
Two plays later on 2nd and goal from the 2, Todd Pendland goes up the middle for an apparent TD. Notice where the ball is at in this shot. The play was reviewed and overturned (I don't think we came out on the positive side of a review all day) and the ball was placed on the one yard line. I'll admit he might have reached the ball over the goal line after he was already down but the spot should have been considerably further inside of the one yard line and not on the one.
After failing to get in on 3rd and goal, we went for it on 4th and goal from the one yard line. And Todd Pendland made it in, no doubt about it, on this run. I don't think he was even touched.
We get a sack as the half ends and the halftime score was 17-21. Below, four shots of the McNeese Band performing at halftime.
