Later on the drive, Derrick gets 10 yards and a first down on a run.
Richard Conner gets three yards on an end around on the next play.
On 3rd and 4 from the Tex St. 29, Chad Davis catches a pass for 10 yards and a first down.
Todd Pendland gets two yards on the next play.
On 2nd and 8 from the 17 yard line with 2:24 left in the game, Derrick gets 4 yards down to the 13 yard line and receives a nonintentional viscous helmet to helmet hit. I thought there might be a flag thrown when I saw it but evidentally the refs were letting them play.
On 3rd and 4 from the 13, Todd Pendland gets three yards to the 10 yard line. On 4th and 1, we elect to bring in Josh Lewis for a 28 yard field goal attempt with 1:30 on the clock. Josh hits it dead solid perfect right through the middle to give us a 30-27 lead.
With a 1:30 left Justin Beitzel gets a touchback on the kickoff and they have to start on their 20 yard line with no timeouts left. They get two first downs on sideline routes on third downs and we almost interecpt two passes. Finally on 2nd and 4 from our 39 with less than 30 seconds on the clock, George throws a pass that Malcolm Bronson intercepts on our 10 yard line. I missed a picture of it because I was behind the bench changing ends of the field when the interception was made. We got the ball on our 22 yard line with 22 seconds left and took a knee to run out the clock.

After the Alma Mater, a lot of the players went and visited with the fans, friends, and relatives in the stands.
Okay, next week it is the final regular season home game against Central Arkansas in "The Hole"!! It will be Senior Night and a very good group of seniors will be playing their last regular season game (and hopefully not their last home game) in front of the McNeese fans. We need to win this game because a win will get us into the playoffs and and a possible home game or two. Make it a point to be in "The Hole" next Saturday Night (it's a 6PM game) to support the Cowboys and this great group of seniors!!! Be there!!!!
