Either Kenneth Lundy or Vaalyn Jackson makes a tackle behind the line. I thought it was Vaalynn but the play by play writeup has Kenneth. Whoever it was, it was a good play.
We forced them to punt. Brian Harvey had gotten close to blocking a punt or two on the punts before. This time he gets the block in the poor picture below.
But we didn't do anything with the ball and punted it back to them. Below, Kenton Alleyne makes a tackle as Brant Linde closes in.
We stop them on fourth down on our 44 yard line and get the ball back with 1:20 left in the half. On the first play Elrick Jones goes 35 yards on a pass from Derrick Fourroux. After, a Kris Bush five yard run, we had the ball on the 5 yardline with 46 seconds left. But Derrick tries to force a pass in coverage and they intercept the ball. Below, Jordy Johnson fights the Texas St. player for the ball and then makes the tackle. The half ends with McNeese up 20-10.
We kick off and hold them on the first possession of the second half. Carlese gets a 37 yard punt return. And then Kris Bush has runs of 7 and 4 yards for a first down on the Texas St. 36 yardline.
Derrick goes back to pass, looks right, and then throws back left to a wide open Carlese Franklin. Carlese jukes one player and takes the ball for a 36 yard TD making the score after the PAT, 27-10 McNeese.

Blake booms another kickoff for a touchback.

They drive and we stop them and hold them to a 33 yard field goal making the score 27-13. Below, Allen Nelson, Marcus and Darrick Brown show impressive vertical leaps trying to block the field goal.

Below, Carlese catches a perfectly thrown pass and goes 37 yards to the TSU one yard line. I thought he got the ball inside the pylon for the TD.
Didn't matter because, after losing one yard on a carry, he walks into the endzone behind some good line blocking in this very blurry picture. (Note: The lighting at Texas St. sucks). After the PAT the score was 34-13 McNeese.
After we exchange punts, John Vigers intercepts a pass on the McNeese 43 yardline. Below, John is congratulated by his teammates on the sideline.
Qb Mark Fontenot gets into the game and throws this 14 yard pass to Quinten Lawrence for a first down.
He had another 24 yard pass to Quinten in the drive to the 15. After an 8 yard Elrick run to the 7 yard line, Elrick goes through a huge hole to score. And after the PAT, the score was 41-13.
Andre blows "Jolie Blonde" on the duck call..........
