I took the The Tour Company (Bennie Ringo) trip to Las Vegas and the Southern Utah game. We met at the McNeese Field House parking lot early Thursday morning, bussed to Houston, and then flew to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Sahara Hotel and Casino on the Strip and had Thursday afternoon and Friday to do whatever we wanted. Friday morning I took a tour bus to see Hoover Dam. I did take some pictures of that trip and will post them later if anybody is interested. Saturday at noon we took the 2 & 1/2- 3 hour drive up to Cedar City, Utah for the game. The scenery on that trip was awesome. After the game, we bussed back to Las Vegas and flew back home on Sunday.
Below a shot of Bennie Ringo and the bus we took to Houston.

Below, three shots of some of the scenery between Las Vegas and Cedar City

A couple of shots of the people on the bus looking out at the scenery.

It was raining when we got to the stadium. I put on my rain gear and went in to take some pictures of the stadium and pre-game warmups. It looked like it was trying to clear up when I got inside and I took this shot of the visitor's side of the stadium with the beginnings of a rainbow in the background.

It was a rather small stadium. Here are three shots of the stadium.

The stadium was used for a few events in the 2002 Winter Olympics hosted by Salt Lake City. There is still an Olympic Flame burning at one end of the stadium.

The Cowboys were going through their pre-game drills.

The linebackers huddle up and say a pre-game prayer.

In the warmups, I noticed that Neely Hubbard was back from his injury.

Usually on trips that require a charter flight, only six cheerleaders make the trip. Below, a shot of the cheerleaders that made the trip.

The team huddles before heading back to the locker room after warmups.

The Color Guard marches to mid-field before the playing of the National Anthem.

The Senior Captains for this game were LB Jared Dolan, RB Kris Bush, FS Kody Knox, and OG Josh Bass.

The Referee tosses the coin before the game. I don't remember who won the coin toss but we ended up getting the ball first

The Cowboys enter the field very businesslike.

A shot of some of the McNeese fans, who made the trip, cheering for the Cowboys.
