We held SUU down deep in their territory and forced them to punt. The ball was downed on their 44 yard line. On the first play after the punt, Derrick Fourroux hits a wide open Quinten Lawrence with a 44 yard TD pass. Below, four shots of the catch and run.
Blake hits the PAT out of a Richard Conner hold. This made the score 17-0 in the second quarter.
After the following kickoff, SUU fumbled on their first play and we got the ball at the SUU 33 yard line. Qb Mark Fontenot got in the game. Below, he looks over the defense before a snap.
We got the ball down to the SUU 3 yard line and had first and goal. Then we ran a QB bootleg play and Mark threw a 3 TD pass to a wide open Wesley Mangan.
Below, Blake hits another PAT and makes the score 24-0.

On the next play, Byran Smith sacks Marshall for a ten yard loss. The only trouble is that the ref was slow with his whistle and Bryan picked up the QB and dumped him on his head (which he shouldn't have done) drawing a 15 yard penalty.
The QB's neck was injured on the play and he was attented to and then taken to the ambulance for a trip to the hospital to check things out. Luckily his neck was only sprained and he was back at the game in the second half wearing a neckbrace. Neck injuries are always scarey.

Things got a little chippy after that and the refs were real quick to throw flags, especially on the McNeese defense. Below, Kenneth Lundy tackles the backup SUU Qb.
The backup QB is tended to after he was hit in the stomach while passing and appeared to have the breath knocked out of him.
