Steven Whitehead didn't dress out for the game so Carlese Franklin and Quinten Lawrence were back to return kickoffs. Below, a shot of Quinten waiting for the opening kickoff.

The Cowboys await the snap of the first offensive play.

The field had long grass and was very mushy from the rain. On the first play, we ran a reverse off of the normall end around play. Quinten Lawrence came around the corner with an open field and a wall of blockers in front of him. The play had TD written all over it. But he slipped and went down as he was cutting to go up field.

We ended up having to punt. Below, the defensive line comes off the snap of the ball. The defense played very well, especially in the first half.

SUU fumbled the ball and we got it back on our 43 yardline. Below, the offense huddles before a play.

We started driving the ball. Both Jamie Leonard and Toddrick Pendland made some good runs during the drive. Below, Toddrick gains some yardage on a run.

A shot of the SUU cannon on the end of the field. They didn't get to shoot it off until the second half.

The drive stalled and Blake came in to hit a 22 yard field goal to give us a 3-0 lead.

After a missed SUU field goal, we got the ball back. After making a couple of first downs, we had the ball on the SUU 40 yardline. And then Quinten Lawrence got behind the defense and Derrick Fourroux hit him with a 40 yard TD pass. Below, a couple of shots, looking into the sun, of Quinten's catch and TD.


We got the ball back after the defense held SUU to three and out. Below, Derrick throws a ball into the flat.........
