Savannah State Game 2009

This home game was a total reversal of the first home game. The team came out fired up, took charge of the game early, and never let Savannah St. get anything going. We put the game away early in the first half and played a lot of players in the second half. As much as our injury situation on defense would allow.

Things I did like about the game: The new Cowboy Walk before the game. I thought it worked well for a first time and will only get better. I liked ParaPoke not landing on his feet. It is a bad omen when he does. I liked the team coming out fired up. I don't claim to have much coaching knowledge to really know, but it seems like the more defensive players we get back and healthy, the better the defense is playing. I like the way the secondary hits and makes tackles especially one on one. And Desmund Lighten, to me, is playing......uh.....lights out!!! Of course, the offense is playing well as expected, but I like the way the offensive line appears to be coming together. I like the way a lot of the young guys and the transfers are contributing. I like the way Ryan Ivey is keeping all the pre-game and halftime scripted even though he has Brent Million working for him. (Note: Serious about Ryan, just kidding about Brent.) I'm sure there are more things I like but I can't remember them right now.

A few things I didn't like: The Mystery Rider's horse trying to back into me when I was trying to get a good shot of the team's entrance. (My fault not the horse's and I really knew where he was at all times.) And, lastly, I definitely didn't like the deafening silence of the non-cannon. P.S. One more thing I don't like. I don't like the McNeese fans smacking talking on the Tulane messageboard. I'd rather a sandbag approach myself.

Enough of all this, let's get back to the pictures.

Below is a link to a few of the pictures I took of tailgating, pregame and the game.
