Offensive Line Coach Reggie Nelson goes over some things with his offensive linemen. I think Reggie is doing a great job with the young offensive linemen this season.
The defense comes off a ball on a snap.
SLU gets the ball down and has 2nd and 11 on the McNeese 29. SLU Qb Babin completes a pass across the middle to Yarborough. We hit him but he bounces off and goes 29 yards for the TD.
John Leday and Brandon Robinson get up to try to block the PAT if the kick is low. But the kick is good and the score is now 17-7.
On our next possession, on 1st and 10 from the SLU 44 yard line, we try a flea flicker where Jarvaris Murray takes hand off, goes to the line, turns around and laterals back to Derrick, who throws a long pass. On this play, Bernardo Henry was wide open behind the SLU DB but the ball hung up allowing the DB to come back and knock the ball down. If the pass would have been two yards longer, it would have been an easy TD.
We punt, they punt, and we go back to punt again. The snap was bad and they tackled us at our 23 yard line. On the second play, Geremy Pilate intercepts a pass and returns it 21 yards to the McNeese 42.

After a 14 yard completion to Immanuel Friddle, we have the ball 1st and 10 on the SLU 20. Derrick then goes around the right side to get into the corner of the endzone for a 20 yard TD run. After the PAT the score is now 24-7.
There was 1:44 left on the clock when we scored. SLU went into a two minute drill and gradually marched the ball down the field. Below, Jarren Jackson makes a tackle on a SLU Wr.
With 4 seconds left, SLU completed this pass in the endzone to score.
Javaris Murray returns the following kickoff to run out the clock. The halftime score was 24-14.

After a long run, SLU is close to the goal line. Below, Damion Aultman just keeps a SLU runner out of the endzone. They score on the next play and the score is now 24-21.
We go three and out and Beau Lasseigne is punting on 4th and 14 from our 25. The punt is blocked and returned to our 1 yard line. They score on the next play and all of a sudden we are behind 24-28.
We make one first down on our next possession and have to punt. They go 3 and out and punt the ball back to us. But we fumble they punt and they recover on our 33 yard line. It seems like everything is going wrong. Below, Guy Morgan and Ford Smesny knock a SLU Wr out at our 4 yard line after a 18 yard gain.
On 1st and goal from the 4, Matt Kreamer just misses the SLU ball carrier but Darrel Jenkins comes up to finish him off for a 1 yard loss.
We stop them on 2nd and goal but on 3rd down they complete this pass for a TD. This makes the score 24-35 and things are not looking good. But there is a lot of time left.
