I still think there was pass interference on this play. The defender wasn't looking back for the ball and ran into Quinten Lawrence keeping him from coming back to the ball.
We ended up punting on our first possession. We held SLU to a three and out on their first possession. Below, the defensive line awaits the snap on the first down play.
When we got the ball back, Derrick Fourroux got his facemask grabbed on the second play. Not only was his facemask grabbed but he got poked in his eye which temporarily gave him some vision problems. So Mark Fontenot came in to play Qb.
Mark proceded to go on a tear completing something like 15 of 16 passes. On this drive he completed a 11 yard pass to Immanuel Friddle and then Quinten Lawrence with a beautifully thrown 49 yard bomb for a touchdown.
The Band, who is doing a great job this season, plays during a break in the action.

SLU eventually scored on their second possession to tie the game at 7-7. Toddrick Pendland goes for 9 yards and a first down on a run in our next series.
On the next play, Mark hits Quinten Lawrence on a Wr screen and he goes up the sideline for 41 yards to the SLU 14. He almost scored on the play. After a four yard Pendland run, Mark hits Carlese Franklin on a short swing type pass. Behind a great block by Ramon Smothers, Carlese gets around the corner, fakes out another defender, and gets into the corner of the endzone for the TD.

Here, we almost sack the Qb but I think it is the play were he spins and throws as he is falling down. But there was a receiver within a half a mile of where he threw the ball and the ref picked up the intentional grounding flag.

Derrick Fourroux came back into the game for this series. We had one pass where Quinten got behind the secondary but the pass was slightly underthrown which enabled a defender to catch up and barely tip the pass away. We ended up haveing to punt. The SLU punt returner bobbled the punt and then was hit hard. The ball was knocked loose and went into the endzone. A SLU player was able to pick it up and get it out of the endzone before Jordy Johnson tackled him.

We stop them and they punt. On the way back to the other end of the field, I took this cheerleader picture.
