I rode over to the SFA game with Chris Buchanan, his crew, and Andy Grimes. After stopping in Lufkin for a good meal, we made it to the area where the McNeese fans were tailgating somewhere around 3PM. First thing I noticed was that Jerry Stephens had finally gotten his bright red dune buggy painted in a nice McNeese blue and gold. Below, he and Frank get ready to go take a ride.

There were a few McNeese fans already there with their RV's. They were sitting around waiting and just relaxing. A couple of shots.

There was some visiting and cooking going on.

Frank was there representing the Po-Boys.

I saw this unusual dog sporting a McNeese bandana. Of course, being a dog person I had to go visit and take a picture. I couldn't quite figure what breed(s) he was so I asked. I was told he was a "Bassador". He was half Bassett Hound and half Labrador Retriever.

Next, I head for the porta-potties located in Lumberjack Alley and took a few pictures while I was there.

These people definitely had some split allegiances.

A shot down the frat section of Lumberjack Alley. Not much going on there, yet. Lumberjack Alley defintely wasn't as crowded as our reserved tailgate areas.

About 4PM the busses carrying the Cowboys arrived at the SFA lockerrooms.

I went back to Jerry's RV and sat around and watched a little TV. And I had a little of Larry Farmer's birthday cake. He was a young 71.

About 4:45 I made the trek to the stadium to take some pre-game pictures.
