I broke out the camera when it was time for the Cowboy Walk. Walking over to where the busses would unload, I saw that Duke, the bassador, had new clothes this week.

A shot of some fans waiting for the the Cowboy Walk.

A couple of shots of the Cowboy Walk.

After the Cowboy Walk, I decided to head over to the Eastside tailgating area to see what was going on over there. On the way, I saw this Cajun band playing just inside the track stadium with Gumbo Gator dancing.

A shot of one of the Eastside tailgating spots. They were watching the LSU-Bama game just like a lot of other people on both sides.

At the David's spot, there was a tailgate guard dog. Seems like Dachsunds are favorite tailgate guard dogs.

Greg David and his father-in-law stir up a pot of jambalaya.

About that time, the Sam Houston team busses showed up and the Bearkats started to unload.

At one spot, I saw this football cake. It looked like a partially deflated football set on the top of a cake. But it was all edible. The football portion even had a needle valve put in it for realism.

Coming back to the Westside, I noted the Gator 99.5 van parked near the Miller Lite spot. Gator 99.5 and the radio station of McNeese Football.

At the Fox 29 spot, they had a wheel set up that fans could spin to win prizes.

They also had a interview going on with the Cowboy Cheerleaders.

At Kenny Cochran's site, I saw this bathroom sign that I saw at Nicholls last week. I wonder how it got all the way from Thibodaux to Lake Charles.

A shot of a neat looking roadster parked at another spot. It was complete with McNeese flags. I would look better painted in royal blue, though, imo.

The Keepers of the Gate (the tailgating gate).

These two young girls were doing some true tailgating.

Another tailgating guard dog. Note there is a lot of dachsund in it.

These young guys were enjoying bowls of gumbo sitting in the shade of an RV.

I headed back to our spot to sit down and rest awhile. I ran into the cheerleaders who were just leaving our spot after visiting. Of course, they posed for a picture.

After resting awhile, it was time for the Band to come through the tailgate area led by the Cowgirl Kickers. Here are a few shots of them marching in and playing for the tailgating fans.

It was time to head for The Hole to take some pre-game pictures.
