Toddrick Pendland gets the ball, shows the burst of speed we are accustomed to seeing before the groin injury, and gains good yardage.
John Leday gets 12 yards and a first down on the Sam 34 after a catch and run.
Todd cuts behind a Marcus Bellow block and goes 31 yards for the TD.
Josh Lewis hits the PAT (he was perfect for the night) and the lead is 7-0.

On 3rd and 8 on Sam's first possession, Josh Ellison gets a sack on Blake Joseph for a 10 yard loss.
After they punt, we have the ball 2nd and 10 on the Sam 44 when a tipped pass is intercepted and returned to our 40 yard line.
On 3rd and 9 they complete a 36 yard pass down to our 3 yard line.
They score a couple of plays later to tie the score at 7. On the next kickoff, Bernardo Henry gets hit hard low and loses the football.
They recover on our 23 yard line. On the first play, they hit a pass across the middle that goes for a 23 TD. The score is now 7-14.
Things aren't going our way and we need to respond and answer. We answer with drive featuring Todd and Derrick and one pass to John Leday. After a couple of 1st downs on a couple of Pendland runs and a 10 yard pass to John Leday, Todd gets good yardage on a run.
Derrick gets outside for a yard or two.
We eventually get the ball down to the Sam 14. On 3rd and 2, Todd goes through a big hole and literally walks into the endzone. With the PAT, the score is now tied at 14 all.
And the Band plays "Jolie Blonde".
And the students celebrate in the stands.

Some of the students dance for the camera in the "dance contest" held between the 1st and 2nd quarters.
They get the ball down to our 25 yard line and then try a 42 yard field goal. Below, John Leday gets up to block the field goal try. The picture is right before the ball gets to him.
After a false start penalty, Todd gets 9 yards on a run.
After two incomplete passes, Beau Lasseigne comes in and hits a 43 yard punt that is fair caught. It was our only punt of the whole game.
