Richard Dow reports from the sideline for the radio broadcast. Hey, isn't that Cheerleader Erlinda's bow?

On the Nicholls' next possession, the get the ball down in our territory. On 2nd and 5 from our 25 yard line, Geremy Pilate hits the Nicholls QB in the backfield forcing a fumble. Below, Terrance Freeman is about to fall on it.

We recover the ball on the McNeese 36 yard line. This series it was Javaris Murray's turn to carry the load. He got the ball 7 times in a row and got the ball down to the Nicholls 5 yard line. Below, he gets some yardage on a carry.

Below, he follows OL Casey Richter and Alec Savoie on a run.

On a 1st and 20 play because of a holding penalty, he breaks a 30 yard run up the middle for a first down. He almost broke it all the way but the last guy had the angle on him.


On his 7th straight carry, he gets the ball down to the Nicholls 5 yard line.

On 2nd and goal from the 5, Derrick throws a little shuttle pass to TE Corday Clark who goes through an opening and then bulls his way into the endzone for the TD. After the PAT, the score is now 38-10.


We put a lot of fresh shirts in on defense after the kickoff. As Nicholls slowly drives down the field, backup Qb Beau Lasseigne warms up on the sideline.

They eventually score to make the game 38-17 with 5:26 left in the game.

Beau goes in to quarterback. Below, he looks over the formation before a play.

We go 3 and out and Beau hits a 46 yard punt that goes out on the Nicholls 3 yard line. Below, on the first play, Joe Narcisse, Brett Koonce, and Jordan Page stop the Nicholls RB for no gain.

After a clipping call wipes out a play and then a 1 yard gain, Hayden Dobbs and Joe Narcisse stop the RB for no gain forcing a 4th down punt with 38 seconds left.

They punt, we get the ball back, and kneel on it once to run the time off the clock. Below, the head coaches shake hands at mid-field.

The McNeese players, coaches, managers, trainers, cheerleaders, etc. kneel down at mid-field for a post game prayer.

After the prayer, the players migrated to the stands to mingle with the fans.

Next week, it the Sam Houston Bearkats in "The Hole" at 7PM in a very important conference game. With SFA losing this week, we are in a four way tie with three other teams. We need to win every game. Come support the Cowboys next Saturday night and see some entertaining football.
