We stall out on the Nicholls 14 yard line with 12 seconds left in the half. Josh Lewis comes in and hits a 32 yard field goal right down the middle against the wind. The score at the half is 24-7.

A couple of penalties kill the drive and we have to punt. Below, Malcolm Bronson makes a tackle on the Nicholls RB in the secondary.
They drive the ball down to our 20 yardline but get pushed back on a 15 yard penalty. After 2 pass incompletions, they have it 3rd and 25 on the McNeese 35. Devin Holland chases down the Nicholls Qb and holds him to a 1 yard gain.
This forces them to try a 51 yard field goal which was wide left.

After three incomplete passes, we have to punt. On the first play, they break a 42 yard run and get the ball down to our 21.

From second and goal on the 5, Nicholls then fumbles and recovers their fumbles on the next two consecutive plays. The first one on second down loses 7 yards to the twelve. On third down they fumble in the picture below but recover on the McNeese 7 yard line making it 4th down.
They end up kicking a field goal to make the score 24 to 10. Below, Bernardo Henry returns the following kickoff 22 yards to the McNeese42. A personal foul penalty gets 15 more yards to the Nicholls 43.
I'm now thinking that we have to answer Nicholls score on this possession. We proceed to give the ball 5 times in a row to Champlain Babin and go from the Nicholls 43 to the 16. Below, he gets 13 yards on the second carry.
We have a 4th and 1 on the Nicholls 16 and elect to go for it. Derrick gets the first down on a quarterback sneak somewhere in this pile.
On the next play, Derrick hits TE Corday Clark going across the middle and Corday makes a good sliding catch to get 12 yards and get the ball down to the Nicholls 3 yard line.
On the very next play, Derrick hits the other TE Wes Mangan for the TD. We answered the Nicholls score and with the PAT, the score is now 31-10.
