Head Coach Matt Viator watches his players during warmups.

Strength and Conditioning Coach Zeb Hawkins puts the players through their stretching exercises. This is the time of the year where he sees all his offseason work start to pay off.

New Defensive Line Coach Manny Michel puts the defensive linemen through a pre-scrimmage drill.

Coach Mike Collins is coaching defensive backs this season. Below, he throws a pass during a drill.

Former Poke Lineman, Paul Garner, drove all the way down from North Louisiana just to get a look at the players during the scrimmage. He always gives us good information on what he thinks of the line play and the offensive and defensive linemen.

Speaking of offensive linemen, OL Coach Reggie Nelson is sporting a new look this season. Some of him got lost in the off season. He looks good and looks like he could still play.

After some punting plays, the scrimmage started. Below, the players come off the snap on one of the first plays.

Below, starting Qb Derrick Fourroux waits for a snap.

Below, Toddrick Pendland breaks a good run and gets down to about the one yard line.

Below, "Doc" Murphy and some of his trainers look at LB Geremy Pilate, who appeared to hurt his forearm or elbow on the play. Let's hope it is nothing serious.

Derrick Fourroux, in the yellow jersey, sneaks the ball over the goalline from the one yard line for the TD.

Toddrick Pendland looks for room on another run. He only saw limited play in the scrimmage. He ran for 34 yards on 4 carries and then the young guys played the rest of the time.

Derrick Fourroux throws a pass while under pressure from Desmund Lighten. I think this pass went 24 to Immanuelle Friddle for a TD.

A couple of pictures of Wr Chris Royal going 55 yards on an end around play.

WR John Leday lines up before a play.

Below, he gets tackled by Seth Thomas and Shaw Sullivan after catching a pass.

Second team QB Beau Lasseigne awaits a snap.

In this picture a WR is tackled by a DB. The numbers weren't all correct on the depth chart we received for the scrimmage. The WR is listed as no. 16 Fontenot but it could have been Shelby Hemenway, the tackler appears to be no. 37, maybe, but there was no 37 on the list. And the player coming in to help appears to be no. 38 R. Bronson. But I'm not sure.

The defense gets a quick whistle sack.

Marcus Wiltz on a good run. Marcus had 39 yards on 10 carries.

A ground level view of the linemen coming off a snap.
