4/19/08 Football Scrimmage Pictures, Page 2

The defense swarms to make a tackle on RB Elrick Jones.


The biggest surprise of the scrimmage was realizing late in the scrimmage, that the number 6 wearing blue on defense, who I didn't recognize, was, in fact, Quinten Lawrence.


Ramon Smothers makes a catch behind the defense but gets run down short of the goal line.

Head Coach Matt Viator talks to the team huddled around him after the scrimmage.


When the scrimmage was over, I did what a lot of fans did. Head straight to the stadium to take a look at the artificial turf being installed. Here is a shot looking up the East sideline.


Below, they had laid out the letters that said "Louis Bonnette Field", trimmed the turf underneath to inset the letters, and the attached them to the turf.



They were doing the same thing with the Southland Conference embliem.


Below, they attached the emblem to the turf using some sort of glue.
