When I passed by today, I saw that the ticket booth and all the concrete on the south side of the Fieldhouse had been torn up and bulldozed up. The flag pole had been taken down and a chainlink fence had been put up to separate the Fieldhouse from the stadium. Below a couple of wide angle shots of the South and West sides of the Fieldhouse.

A shot of the flag pole that has been dug up and taken down. Andy is right, that is one big hunk of concrete on the ground end.

A shot of the end of the fence that was put up where it separated the Fieldhouse area from the Westside stands area.

The only other visual progress I saw was that the front entrance canopy had been taken down. The front entrance concrete pad had been dug up leaving a pile of concrete debris.

Because the temporary building, which will be used as the temporary weight room while the Fieldhouse construction is ongoing, hasn't come in, the Cowboy Club Room has been turned into a temporary temporary weight room. I went over there and Coach Hawkins allowed me to take a couple of pictures of how it is setup.

I had to go to Lake Charles Saturday morning, so I decide to go by and see if there was any outside visual progress on the Fieldhouse. I noticed there was more concrete gone behind the Fieldhouse and that the large video taping tower was taken down. In the front, they were breaking up more concrete. The inside of the frontdoor was sealded with black plastic and asbestos warning signs were placed around the outside of the Field House due to the asbestos abatement going on in the inside. Below a few pictures from today.

The video taping tower was taken down and laid down near the east stands on its side.

This is not related to the Fieldhouse but I did notice that in the east side parking lot, there were a bunch of the containers of the rubber pellets that are used on the artificial turf and a large pile of sand. Evidently they will be putting some more pellets and sand in the artificial turf. Below, three pictures.
