Derrick throws a 16 yard pass to Immanuel Friddle.
We get the ball down to the 10 yard line but stall. We try a field goal but the attempt is blocked. They start a short drive but have to punt and we get the ball back on our 20 yardline. Qb Mark Fontenot comes into the game for a series.
On the first play, we go deep but the ball is intercepted.
On their third play and on 2nd and 15, they throw a short underneath pass. The EWU takes the pass and goes 64 yards up the middle for a TD. This eventually makes the score 16-7 with just a minute left in the half. This ended up being the score at halftime.

Blake follows through on the kickoff to start the second half.
We needed to make a stop and get the ball back. But they took the ball and scored in 5 plays. Below, the EWU RB scores from 20 yards out.
After that score, we desparately needed to answer on offense. Below, Carlese Franklin gets four yards on the end around play.

Kris Bush gets three yards for a first down on the EWU 9 yard line.
We eventually end up 4th and goal at the one yard line. Derrick gets the ball over for the TD on this play.
We go for two points and Kris Bush goes through a nice hole for the PAT.
This made the score 23-15 with 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. We needed to stop them on defense and get the ball back. But EWU starts drving. Below, Bryant Mason gets in on a tackle.
From the 11 yard line, a EWU RB almost gets in the endzone. Brant Linde and Kody Knox knock him out at the one yard line.
On the next play, a EWU RB walks into the endzone and the score ends up being 30-15 with a little over 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
We don't do anything on our next possession. EWU goes on a long drive to score to go up 37-15. On our next possession, we try a trick play with Carlese Franklin throwing a pass off of the end around play. But the ball hangs up in the wind and is intercepted.
EWU drives and scores again on this TD catch making the score 44-15. We just couldn't slow them down on defense.
Finally, EWU kneels on the ball to put us our of our misery and end the game.
This time it is the EWU Coach that gets the Gatorade shower.

The Band plays Jolie Blonde one last time after the game. The Band did a great job this year at the games.
The players, coaches, managers, trainers, cheerleaders, etc. kneel for one last post game prayer.
And that is it for the 2007 season. It didn't end like most of us would have wanted, but with a 11-0 run in the regular season, it was a great ride. Thanks to all of the players, coaches, and staff for all their long hours and hard work so that we fans could have all the entertainment they provided for us this season. Thanks, guys (and gals). Time to reload for next season.
