Right at the end of halftime, it started raining and I retreated to the camera deck to keep my equipment dry. I commented to someone that we really needed to score on our first possession to stay in the game. After the kickoff, Champlain Babin gets 7 yards on first down.

After losing 5 yards on second down, we have it 3rd and 8 on our 22. But on the next play, Cal Poly intercepts a pass and returns it for a TD to make the score 7-31 making things look bleak.

Marcus Wiltz gets 8 yards on first down after the following kickoff.

But on the next play, we fumble and Cal Poly gets the ball on our 27 yard line. They take two plays to score to make the score 7-38. It looks like everything that can go wrong will. And it continues, as played is suspended for 43 minutes because of lightning. After the game restarts, Marcus Wiltz gets 5 yards on a run.

After we exchange punts, we get the ball on our 2 yard line.

After we don't get a first down, we have to punt out of our endzone. The snap is fumbled, the ball batted out of the endzone, and Cal Poly gets a safety to make the score 7-40. The teams start emptying their benches. Below and later in the game, Qb Cody Stroud completes a pass to FB Drew Johnston for 8 yards.

Rb Andre Anderson runs with the ball.

Later in the 4th quarter, Cody Stroud completes a 43 yard pass to Damien Dixon down to the Cal Poly 37. Then he hits Bernardo Henry for 22 yards down to the 12.

After a personal foul penalty, we have it first and goal on the 6 yard line. Cody fakes a handoff to Andre Anderson and goes 6 yards around the left side untouched for the score.

Josh Lewis hits the PAT to make the score 14-40.

Brandon Zanders pressures the Cal Poly Qb and forces him to throw the ball away on a 3rd down play.

Chris Royal gets 6 yards on a catch late in the game.

Cal Poly kneels on the ball to end the game.

A shot of the final scoreboard.
