Jonathan Conrad throws the first pitch to start the game. Jonathan pitched 6 innings only giving up 2 hits and no runs. He struck out 5 and only walked 1. A very good first outing.

After Jonathan gets two strikeouts to end Valpo's first, Blake Ellender starts McNeese's first inning by doubling to left field.

After Steve Irving walks, one of the Valpo coaches comes out to talk to his pitcher.

Jace Peterson hits a ground ball to the first baseman who throws the ball into left field trying to start a double play. Everybody moved up one base and Blake Ellender scored McNeese's first run. After Lee Orr grounded out to third, Seth Granger gets a single to centerfield batting in 2 runs.

We end up with a 3-0 lead after one inning. Below, Jace Peterson fields a ground ball to start the second inning.

Blake Ellender hits this pitch over the left field wall for a 2 run homer.

Below, Blake gets congratulated by his teammates on the way back to the dugout.

After a couple of strikeouts, Lee Orr drives a ball deep over the left field wall on this swing. We end up with a 6-0 lead after two innings.

Lee hits helmets with Seth Granger after crossing home plate.

Jonathan Conrad throws a pitch in the top of the 3rd inning.

Jace Peterson catches the ball and prepares to sweep a tag on a Valpo runner attempting to steal 2nd base.

The third inning was scoreless for both teams. Below, Jace Peterson and Steve Irving warmup prior to the 4th inning.

Andy Riche' makes a great catch on the warning track in left field to start the 4th inning.

After a Valpo single, the next batter hits a hard ground ball to 3rd base and the Pokes turn a round the horn double play. Below, Jace Peterson makes the turn at second base.
