McNeese-Nebraska Game Pictures, Page 1

Below is a shot of the grandstands on the firstbase side.

There were a quite a few Nebraska fans, who made the trip down, on the third base side.

Cowboy Club Board Member Larry Farmer says hi.

There was a Jaccuzzi on the thirdbase side. A contest for a fan to watch the game from the hot tub was supposed to be held. I don't know if it was for this game or one of the weekend games or if it was just too cold for the winner. :-)

Laine McKeller was pitching well matching Shane Komine with scoreless innings in the fifth.

In the sixth inning he made a mistake with a pitch and Nebraska's Jeff Leise, shown here being congratulated by his teammates, deposited the pitch far over the right field wall.

He got out of that inning by getting the batter to ground out.

But in the 7th inning, a batter got on. A bunt was made and Laine threw wildly to first. The next batter bunted and the runner going to third was called safe on this close play.

A couple of errors and a few hits and Laine was out of the game. Nebraska ended up score 5 runs in the 7th inning and 3 more in the 9th for a 9-0 lead. Then, due to some wildness by Nebraska reliever Blaesing, Tommy Eubanks was up with the bases loaded. He hit a pitch over the right field wall for a Grand Slam homerun driving in McNeese's only four runs. Below, he is congratulated by his teammates after the homerun.

Here is a shot of the disappointing final score
