First a shot of Coach Todd Butler and a couple of friends.

As I said earlier, a transformer fuse blew on a utility pole when the lights were first turned on which delayed the start of the game thirty minutes. Here is the pole where the offending blown fuse was located.

The Twelve Night Revelers and Gumbo Gator were present to welcome the Nebraska team and throw Mardi Gras beads to the crowd.

The Pokes huddle up before the player introductions.

As is the custom at Friday Night games, it was "future big leaguers' night" and all the kids were allowed to go on to the field and stand next to their favorite player during the National Anthem.

These two girls sang the National Anthem and did a great job. I didn't catch their names.

The ceremonial first pitch was thrown out by this representative from Conoco.

Laine McKeller throws the first pitch of the game and the game is on.

The Nebraska leadoff hitter got a hit through the right side of the infield. Then stole second base. The throw was in time but was not caught.

Nebraska loaded the bases but Laine was able to get out of the inning by striking out a couple of Nebraska batters. Here is one of those strikeouts.

Another strikeout

After the Nebraska pitcher, Shane Komine, struck out the side in bottom half of the first. Laine gets another strikeout in the top of the second.

Laine was pitching well and we were playing good defense early in the game. Below, second baseman, Dustin Smith fields a ground ball and makes a throw to first baseman, Tommy Eubanks.

McNeese lone hit off Komine was a double by Jesse Cassard on this swing.
