Bryn Thompson dodges a high inside pitch in the 3rd inning.

Taylor Freeman takes a wild pitch in the dirt..........

.......which allows Justin Beitzel, who got hit by a pitch to get on, to advance to second.

Taylor hits a single to advance Justin to third. Then Justin scored on another wild pitch.

Andy Riche' then singles to right field.

This scores Taylor Freeman, who had advanced to second on the earlier wild pitch.

Andy Riche' then steals second.

Then Sam Merrill hits a pitch through the right side to score Andy.

The Houston Baptist coach goes out to talk to his pitcher.

Sam Merill then steals second.

Shon Landry then gets good extension on this swing of the bat and jacks one over the left field wall for a two run homer. We ended up getting five runs in this inning to take a 7-0 lead.

Scott Holstein was still cruising along until the top of the 6th inning when HBU hit back to back homers to make the score 7-2.

Lee Orr almost made a good play on this bunt but the throw in the dirt got by the first baseman. The HBU batter was given a single and Orr got an error on the advance of the runner to second base. This play happened back in the HBU fifth inning and didn't result in any runs.

A couple of shots of Bryn Thompson and Nick Eubanks getting into a ready position during a pitch.

Another shot of the new flag flying in the dark in left field.

After the two back to back homers in the HBU 6th, Scott Holstein got this to strike out swinging to end the inning.

The pitch was in the dirt and Catcher Taylor Freeman had to throw to first to complete the out.

In the HBU 7th, they led off with a homer and then a single to end Scott Holstein's night. Matt Click then came in to pitch and was not very effective. Justin LeBleu eventually relieved Click.

After I took the above picture, I had to leave the game. I listened to the rest of the game on the radio. HBU eventually scored 5 runs in the 7th to tie the score 7-7. McNeese scored one run in the bottom of the 7th to take a 8-7 lead but HBU tied it again at 8 with a run in the top of the 8th. McNeese broke out with a 5 run 8th inning and went on to win the game 13-8.
