McNeese vs University of Texas at San Antonio Game
I made it out to Burton Coliseum to watch the Cowboys play their first conference game against one of the best teams in the Southland Conference, the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Cowboys played well early and had a 32-28 halftime lead. But the Cowboys went into a dry spell after the half and UTSA kept driving in, passing outside, and hitting 3 pointers to build up a good lead. The Roadrunners hit 10 of 16 or 62.5% of their 3 pointers for the game. They were 8 of 9 or 88.9% for the second half. The Cowboys fought back and even cut the lead to somewhere around 4, but a couple of turnovers and some missed shots killed the comeback. UTSA finally won 78-69.
