I made it over to the Lake Charles Civic Center to catch the McNeese game with Nicholls State. It was the first of three home games to be played at the Civic Center while the SW La. Fatstock and Redeo is at Burton Coliseum.
The Cowboys started off strong in this game and jumped out to a good lead. They slacked off and let Nicholls comeback a little before halftime. At the half, Dwight Boatner caught an inadvertant elbow from one of his teammates causing a slight concussion. He was eventually taken off the court and didn't play in the second half. Nicholls came back in the second half and made it a game when the Cowboys went into a little bit of a scoring drought. But the Cowboys found a way to win the game and came away with a 64-59 win.
