McNeese vs Arkansas, Game 2
I made it out to Cowboy Diamond to watch the 2nd game with Arkansas. The Cowboys played it close but just can't seem to get over the hump in these close games. Too many men left on base, especially men on third with less than two outs. Strikeouts in that situation are a killer. This has been a a bit of a problem so far this season. I'm not a coach, but if this problem continues, in a close game, with a decent bunter at the plate, I'd be tempted to try a safety squeeze once in awhile. At least, give the other team something else to consider. Of course, the situation would have to be correct and with the other team not suspecting it. Gee, it's fun to be an armchair coach (sorry, Terry).
